Sunday Brunch is a concept made for people like us – who love their extra weekend sleep and are lazy enough to skip breakfast. The love for food also gets its potion, with the huge spread (and unlimited servings ;)) that is on offer. We celebrated the 2nd anniversary of the best upscale business hotel in Gurgaon, Hyatt Place Udyog Vihar at Gallery Cafe over Social Sunday Brunch – spoilt for choice of food and topped with the premium selection of liquor, we had a time of our lives feasting over the delicious spread by Chef Gaurav Paul and chilled Hoegaarden, the premium Belgian wheat beer.
Gallery Cafe is the culinary backbone of the hotel serving the complimentary Gallery Kitchen Breakfast, the Gallery menu at lunch and dinner, 24/7 Market catering to the out of hours hunger pangs. Coffee to Cocktails Bars is the place to enjoy drinks and coffee with friends and colleagues with a extensive collection of cocktails, beers and spirits. With open and close adequatelypace, the Gallery cafe is adequately generous with the space and spread.
The buffet is as vast as it can be, with sections of Indian, Asian and Western delicacies; live counters; salads and soups; desserts; and a special counter for the kids, dishing out fun pancakes and more! There is an array of baguettes, loafs and rolls to start with; selection of soups; antipasti (loved the roasted pear, baby spinach and walnut); eggs to order; variety of tikkas and poppers, pastas with choice of sauces to say the least.
The mains (if you thought the previous paragraph was all, you are grossly mistaken) had an Indian section with a considerable spread of veg. & non-veg. dishes (the mutton biryani & murgh musallam were amazing); Asian section and Western section (poached fish in tomato and saffron broth –) serving something for the likes of everyone.
If you crave something grilled, head to the lawn and relish some hot kebabs from the live barbeque station and when you are at it, don’t forget to try the range of burritos, quesidillas and nachos served at the TexMex live counter.
Desserts section also has a huge spread – we loved the burnt chocolate gateaux and chocolate orange dacquoise from the fare that had other delicacies likes rum ball, rosemary ginger creme brulee and desi fare of gulab jamun, zafrani kheer and fresh cut fruits.
With 176 spacious guestrooms laoded with facilities; restaurants & cafes to take care of your culinary needs; proximity to the airport, commercial as well as business hubs and smiling faces all around, Hyatt Place Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon strives to make your stay pleasant and successful.
