If there was to be a list of restaurants that you ought to visit in Delhi, Dramz would definitely feature in it. With a view like this from the terrace, there can’t be a better place to spend an evening with the special one, celebrate occasions or just hang out with friends. Spread over 4 floors, there is a right place for everyone – be it the cellar at the ground floor, the lounge, the terrace or the upper terrace for big groups. The picturesque view of ‘Qutab Minar’ from the terrace is unparalleled, the food and the selection of whisky just notches up everything. Designed like a standalone English/Scottish bar, as the name suggests, Dramz is a perfect blend of tradition and elegance.
With a mix of Indian and European cuisine, the menu has something for every palette and the team in the kitchen has done a great job in bringing flavors to the dishes. Take for instance Stuffed Mushrooms (425) – covered with parmesan cream and stuffed with duxell (that is made of 3 different kinds of mushrooms), this a dish vegetarians will love. Chicken Skewers ( 495) was our choice from the non-vegetarian section and we loved it too – just the right marination to not overpower the flavor of the meat.
For the mains, we as usual skipped ordering from the Indian section and decided to order Grilled Lamb Chops, Rosemary Potato & Wilted Spinach (1695) & Slow Roast Spring Chicken (Rosemary Potato, Cherry Tomato, Red Wine Jus) ( 745) with suggestions from our server, and we are so glad about it. Lamb Chops – cooked perfectly as per our liking – lightly flavored, served with rosemary potato, spinach and asparagus was one of the best lamb dishes we have had in a while. The chicken was equally good – tender, juicy on the inside, perfect crisp outside – served with a flavorful red wine jus and rosemary potato. The portion size was good enough to fill us up, with a bit of struggle towards the end! There’s ample choice in desserts too – we chose the Baked Yogurt which was served with Berry Coulis and loved it too.

Dramz is an absolute fit to it’s name – a Whisky Bar – and has an extensive collection from around the world. Whether on it’s own or made as cocktails, you will be spoilt for choices. We tried Jack Be Jamaican (575) – a scotch based mocktail and fell in love. Italian Expert ( 575) – a vodka based cocktail had 60 ml of Vodka, so a bit strong for our palette, but people who like strong cocktails will definitely like it. The bar menu is much bigger than the food menu, and it totally reflects the theme of the restaurant – serving whisky from around the world under a roof. The food by the super talented chefs in the kitchen is the icing on the cake.
