Come weekends, we find it very hard to stay at home. There always is a lookout for interesting things to do – after all just going out to eat isn’t fun anymore. There are a plethora of restaurants springing up in NCR if the only thing on your agenda is food; but if you need an entertainment package you one stop destination is Smaaash – PitStop Brewery. With a go-karting ring, bowling arena, water park and brewery at the same place, there are options galore for the perfect family weekend.
The Sky Karting ring is one of its kind – spread over multiple levels, with speed controlled and electric go-karts, the ring has been setup by the renowned Protek Karting, Germany. Safety of the players has been given utmost importance and there is probably nothing more that could have been done to make you feel safer. Starting with clear instructions given at the start of the session, checks done by the experts; you see safety measures everywhere in your 6 minute session – where you compete with opponents – no prize however 🙂
Priced at 400 AI on weekdays and 500 AI on weekends, this is a steal deal – and you will keep wanting for more. Keep in mind the waiting period on weekends – we got our time after 90 minutes!
Another attraction added to the kitty of Smaaash is Bowling – 8 lanes of bowling fun – perfect for a corporate get together or on your own if you love the sport – the state of the art bowling arena is fun to be at – specially if you are in a group! Put your bowling shoes on (available there) and show everyone who’s the boss! Socks are compulsory and available for purchase. With other games available too, Smaaash is one stop entertainment destination for the weekend or weekdays.
Sip on some freshly brewed beer while you enjoy the games or after it. The restaurant offers an amazing choice of food and beverage to be enjoyed once you are done with the gaming sessions. If you love your beer, you will be at the right place to enjoy some freshly brewed beer. Choose from the options of Sting Ray (Belgian Wheat Beer flavored with orange peel and coriander), Galloway (Scoth Whisky finish), Streamliner (Stout) and Spyder Duetto (German Wheat Malted Beer with cream finish) – and you will never have a dull momene. We loved the Spyder Duetto – the perfect glass of beverage after a high action karting lap of 6 minutes. They also have a very good collection of mocktails/cocktails which you can try, but if you are going to a brewery, you have to have the beer!
The food menu is mainly is bar snacks – with quite a variety spanning all cuisines. Do try the Chicken Balls – which is probably not on the menu at the restaurant, but in the online menu and is highly recommended – shredded chicken pieces, batter coated and deep fried – they are the best accompaniment to a glass of chilled beer. Amritsari Macchi was our second starter – quite aromatic and flavorful, served with onion and chutney, this one’s a good one on the side of a glass of beer too – crunchy outside, soft inside. We also tried some Tomato Basil Bruschetta – good toppings but a thick bread – would have been much better with thin slices of bread. Smaaash Pulled Chicken Pizza also didn’t appeal too much to us – there was something amiss – whether it was the cheeze or something else, we don’t know – but it could have been better. The Caramel Smoothie was also a bit too sweet, but flavorful nonetheless.
A one stop destination in all senses – drink, play, eat – enjoy with friends and family and have a gala time at playing games like bowling and karting. There’s a water park at a hand’s distance – and it’s never too late to get into that swim suit 🙂
