NYC, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport has come up with the brilliant idea of having a rotating theme menu everyday. With options like Mexican, Carribean, Italian and Spanish menus, it’s the best variety a restaurant can offer its patrons. Spanish was the theme of the day of our visit. Along with the cuisine of the day, there is Indian & Continental dishes on the menu, so that there is something for everyone. There is a live counter serving you freshly made starters from various cuisines, a pasta counter and to top it all a sushi counter for the love of it!
The spread is huge, the service is impeccable and the food is delectable. There were some misses, but overall we loved the food. We liked the idea of having a constant Indian & Oriental menu on offer to meet the tastes of everyone. The provision of the regular favorites of dal makhani, chicken curry, biryani among others in the Indian section, and regular pan-asian fare in the Oriental section makes a good choice for the people who want to stick to the cuisines. The salad section has separate areas for veg. and non-veg., which speaks for the variety on offer. The live section of the buffet offers some delectable starters which change regularly. Barbecue Chicken Wings are not to be missed! We also tried a White Sauce Pasta from the counter and loved it!
The theme of the day, Spanish section had interesting items like Escalivoda Catalana (chargrilled courgettes, sweet peppers & aubergines seasoned with olive oil, parsley & garlic), Pollo Al Chilindron (chicken cooked with roasted garlic, grilled chilli peppers) and Buey Eu Salsa Verda (Steak Meddalions with Green Sauce). It was our first tryst with Spanish food, and we loved it.
The dessert section is a treat to be at. With desserts ranging from rasgulla & phirni to chocolate fondue and choco-mud cake, a variety of cheese cakes, pastries and tarts, you will be spoilt for choice. Don’t forget to try the Saffron Creme Brulee if you see it on the menu, the absolutely amazing Choco-Mud Cake and the delectable Passionfruit Cheesecake! And when you are done with everything, head to the Chocolate Fondue station and indulge!
Overall we had lovely experience at NYC, Radisson Blu Plaza. Polite and efficient staff, a wide and changing variety of food on offer and a lovely place to enjoy it is all you can ask for a meal.
